Community Christian School has been led by Administrator Douglas Jefferson since 2008. After completing his Bachelor of Arts at Southwest Baptist University and Master of Art at Texas A&M Commerce, Jefferson returned to his hometown of Mineral Wells. It was his deep love of Mineral Wells and his passion to provide an excellent education that is Christ-centered that brought him home and led him to join the CCS staff as a secondary teacher in 2005.

Jefferson leads the CCS administration team with two guiding principles. God has given the responsibility of education to the home (Deut 6:4-9) and that parents are called to be their child’s first teacher (Prov 22:6). Whether a family selects to send their child to public school, private school, charter school, or home school, those are simply avenues by which parents choose to educate their children. CCS exists to partner with parents in providing an excellent education for their children.

Jefferson firmly believes that God has given CCS a mission to offer an excellent education that is fully-biblically integrated. Since joining the CCS team, Jefferson has sought to expand and grow the school. During his time with CCS, the school has been enriched through adding a high school, developing stellar athletics and fine arts programs for all grades, creating the industry-leading dual credit program and many more areas of expansion, while still staying true to the original founding vision of 1982.

As a father, Jefferson has a passion for the up and coming generations. He seeks to led a school that will equip students with the spiritual, intellectual, social, cultural, and physical resources they need to handle the challenges they face. He is passionate about the Mineral Wells community and seeks to create a brighter future for all generations through education and community involvement.

Community Christian School began in 1982 because several families wanted a choice in the education of their children. Throughout the years the school has seen many changes, but the basic goal of educating children in an atmosphere of love and other Christian values has remained the same.

Community Christian School is accredited by the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA) which is approved by the Texas Private School Accrediting Commission (TEPSAC) and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Community Christian School is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. Since CCS has determined to make its services affordable to more people, it needs other support besides tuition to meet the cost of educating its students. Community Christian School is possible through generous donors such as Well of Life Church and many others.
